The lack of affordable housing is a policy choice. Electing policymakers who will prioritize housing fairness is essential.
Storme St. Valle, candidate for Senate District 15, is the leader we need to fight for affordable housing for all.

On Oct. 6, an editorial in the KJ cited an estimated shortage of 25,000 affordable housing units in Maine. It will take decades, at the current pace of development, to meet existing need. This is unacceptable.

The goal of “a decent home and a suitable living environment for every American family” is embedded in the US Housing Act of 1949. Seven decades later, the goal remains unmet.

We need leaders like Storme St. Valle who will fight for fairness in housing today, not in some distant future.
