CANAAN – Gordon Earl Grotton, 94, passed away Oct. 6, 2022, at his home in Canaan. He was born Nov. 1, 1927, in Sandhill, the son of John and Gladys (Glidden) Grotton.
He was a veteran who proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. After his military service, he worked for U.S. Plywood for 35 years, then for New England Public Warehouse, retiring in 1991. He was a member of Teamster Local 340 and enjoyed gardening, hunting and reading.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
