Vernard William Cram

MANCHESTER – Vern left this world to join his family in a reunion on Oct. 16, 2022. We are sure there is a party going on between Vern, his parents, Clarence S. Cram Sr. and Paulette Cram, and grandparents, Rose and Stanley Cram Sr. and Florence and Earl McKechnie, as well as many other favorite family members.

His siblings and their families as well as various cousins have been sharing stories of their youth and bringing smiles to all he left behind. Vern spent his youth growing up on the family farm amongst his brothers and sister as well as a gang of cousins and neighborhood children.

His passion in his younger days was EMS, he spent countless hours both volunteering and then working for Winthrop Ambulance for many years. He ended his career there as the Director of the Ambulance service. He also worked for the City of Gardiner in dispatch. When he decided to leave his EMS world behind, he followed in his mother’s footsteps by working at Kirshner’s and finished his career at Barber Foods in Portland.

Vern is being celebrated by his brothers, Clarence (Bug) Cram Jr. and his wife Micky, David Cram and his wife Caroline, and his sister, Lisa Mace and her husband Peter. He had four nieces and nephews, Nicole Faloon, David Mace, Sondra Thibodeau and Jeremy Judkins; as well as five great- nieces and nephews and one great-great niece. His absence from our lives will be missed but the stories will keep his spirit alive.

Vern passed of natural causes and it was his wish that there be no service. Burial will be at a later date.
