Right now, I could not vote for a Republican regardless of how good a person he or she may be. The decent Republicans have been sidelined by the extreme right wing which no longer accepts the result of an election if it loses.
In Lincoln County Cameron Reny is the Democratic candidate for state senator. She is rooted in the community and will continue the work of the past four years which has given us a healthy economy, near full employment, a budget surplus, tens of thousands newly covered by health care, and the highest rainy day fund in the history of Maine. This in spite of the COVID pandemic.
We need to vote for Cameron Reny as our state senator on both policy grounds, and also to keep Lincoln County in Democratic hands until the Republican Party demonstrates a believable commitment to respecting the core tenets of our democracy.
