Some of us still try to follow the process used by Jefferson, Adams, Madison, Franklin and most of our founding fathers — though maybe with less Barbados rum — in fashioning and following the Constitution that still guides and guards us (when not disturbed by the Supreme Court it created).

These are men and women who search, study and try to think before they speak or vote. Many have worked quietly for years before they come to statewide attention. My longtime friend and challenging debater, Robert Sezak is one of these. A local businessman, Robert has given years already to public service in Fairfield and to Somerset County, not only in government, but also in benevolent public-service institutions in Maine.

I live in Waterville, so cannot vote in his Somerset County district. But I can assure residents of any political entity Robert may represent that they will be well-served if they choose to send him to Augusta. Maine needs legislators who first think things through.
