John Pople

OAKLAND – John Pople passed away peacefully on Oct. 8, 2022, with family members at his bedside. He was born Aug. 8, 1933, in Kingston, Ontario.

He was in the Canadian Naval Reserve where he met his loving wife Mary. John was a big man with an even bigger heart, evidenced by his years of volunteer work at the Sacred Heart Soup Kitchen, and willingness to help anyone at any time, so much so that he earned the name “Handy Andy” by Mary.

John is predeceased by his wife Mary. He is survived by his two daughters and son-in-law, six grandchildren as well as their significant others along with nine great-grandchildren.
