Alexander S. Meader

WINTHROP – Alexander S. Meader, 30, passed away suddenly on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Alex was born March 11, 1992, in Augusta. He was the son of Betty (Godbout) Meader of Waterville and Terry Meader and his husband Geoff Miller of Monmouth. Alex was a lifelong resident of Winthrop, he graduated from Winthrop High School class of 2010. After graduating he went on to International Diving Institute in Charleston, S.C.

Alex has always worked in the construction field. He currently was a concrete floor installer working for Concrete Specialist, Inc.

He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his loving daughter, Jordyn and her sister, Sonya. He supported the girls in all their activities and was always there for them. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, snowmobiling, four wheeling and camping. A sports enthusiast and was a loyal fan of the Boston Celtics and New England Patriots.

In addition to his loving parents, Alex is survived by his daughter, Jordyn Meader and her sister, Sonya Nguyen and their mother Angela Sirois, all of Winthrop; his grandfather, Glen Meader and his wife Marchelle of Alabama; his aunts and uncles Carol Godbout of Waterville, Christine Leathers and her husband Jim of Pennsylvania, Phillip Godbout and his wife Nancy of Farmingdale. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his grandparents Charlotte and Charles Godbout, his grandmother, Sally Meader; and his uncle, Jason Meader.

Alex’s Celebration of Life will be in the North Vienna United Methodist Church, 572 Tower Rd., Vienna on Monday, Nov. 7, at 3 p.m. There will be a reception in fellowship hall at the church. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
