Sharon Ann Dodge

RANDOLPH – Sharon Ann Dodge, 80, of Randolph, died at her home on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022 after a long illness with her family by her side.

She was born in Gardiner on Nov. 23, 1941, the daughter of Richard and Connie (Creamer) Dodge.

Sharon attended Gardiner schools and graduated from Gardiner High School in 1960. She worked for the State of Maine Human Resources Department. Upon retirement she received her nursing degree and for a short period of time worked at a local retirement home. Additionally, for a few years, Sharon was inspired to run a small boutique at her home from which she donated proceeds to her church.

She enjoyed spending time at her waterfront home entertaining friends and family. Her many pastimes included kayaking, fishing, pickleball and social events. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and loved spending time with them.

A woman of strong faith, Sharon participated in Bible study and prayer groups and was most recently a member of the Manchester Community Church.

She was predeceased by her parents Richard S. Dodge and Constance Creamer; as well as brother, Richard A. Dodge, all of Gardiner.

Sharon is survived by her sister, Paula Moore; sons Michael McLaughlin and his wife Mary, Max McLaughlin and his wife Jane, and daughter, Angie Turner; as well as many beloved cousins. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Lindsay McLaughlin and her partner James Lee, their daughters Kiana and Lucia; Lillie McLaughlin and her partner Korey LaLiberte and their daughter, Iris and son, River; and Logan McLaughlin and his partner Sara Horn; as well as Rick Fitzgerald.

At Sharon’s request there will be no services. A private ceremony will be held with immediate family at a later date. May she rest in peace with our Lord.
