AUGUSTA — Anna McDermott has rejoined Marshall Communications as an account supervisor, coming back to the public relations agency in a full-time position.
“I am delighted that Anna has joined our team at Marshall Communications again. She has enthusiasm, passion and a clear vision of how public relations and social media strengthen brands. Plus, she is very smart. I am proud to have her working with our clients and know they will enjoy working with her,” said Nancy Marshall, CEO of Marshall Communications, in a news release.
McDermott first joined Marshall Communications in 2007 as an account executive. She stayed in that role until her family moved out of state in 2011 and continued remote work for Marshall Communications part-time, as content creator until 2021. McDermott then worked for Rinck Advertising as a public relations manager until August. She moved back to Maine in July.
“I’ve lived all over the country and my work with Marshall Communications helped maintain my connection to my home state. I can say with certainty that Maine is very special. I really love promoting all things ‘Maine’ and I think my sincere passion shows through in my work,” McDermott said.
As an account supervisor, McDermott works with multiple clients including the Maine Maple Producers Association and the Maine Office of Tourism in addition to internal public relations on behalf of Marshall Communications.
In 2020, McDermott started filming a cooking video series out of her home as part of the Marshall Communications’ new content marketing campaign, sharing recipes like Eventide’s fish chowder. Several of these videos were shown on WCSH, highlighting the agency’s clients. McDermott looks forward to continuing the series.
McDermott is a 2004 graduate from the University of Southern Maine, and she lives in Monmouth with her husband and two children.
