Anthony “Tony” Dean Rancourt

BELGRADE – Anthony “Tony” Dean Rancourt, 66 of Belgrade, Maine, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2022 after a long battle with cancer.

Tony was a graduate of Waterville Senior High School where he met the love of his life Catherine “Cathy” (King) Rancourt who he was married to for 45 years. Tony began his career at Scott Paper in Winslow in 1975 before transferring to the Sappi Mill in Hinckley where he retired after more than 40 years of service.

Tony loved watching the Patriots, Bruins, and Red Sox games. Tony was an avid sportsman and loved fishing with his family. Tony liked to spend time at his camp on Sheepscot Lake watching the sunsets, going for boat rides, fishing and having bonfires. One of his favorite things was decorating for the holidays. He prided himself on creating festive displays both inside and outside the house to make the holidays extra special. Christmas was one of his favorite holidays to decorate for. Tony’s biggest joy was his grandchildren and he loved to spend time attending their sporting events and fishing with them.

Tony is survived by his wife Catherine King Rancourt, a daughter Jessica Rancourt Fogg and husband Kirk, a son Jacob Rancourt and wife Michelle, and four grandchildren: Corbin and Sophia Fogg, Amber Nelson and Brody Rancourt. A brother Chris Rancourt and sisters Sandra, Cynthia, and Karen Rancourt-Thomas; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Brandon and Theresa Rancourt and infant son Anthony Rancourt Jr.

At Tony’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Instead, he asked that friends and loved ones decorate extra for their favorite holiday or go fishing.

Arrangements under the direction and care of Dan & Scott’s Cremation & Funeral Service, 445 Waterville Road, Skowhegan ME 04976.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Travis Mills Foundation, 1002 Watson Pond Road, Rome ME 04963.
