GARDINER – Patricia A. Ruth, 64, of Gardiner, died Saturday, November 5, 2022, at the Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn. 

She was born in Houlton, Maine on June 21, 1958, the daughter of Leonard and Henrietta (Hallett) Todd.

Patricia spent her early years working in healthcare. She married Michael Ruth on October 29, 1985. Patricia spent her time caring for children, her family and loving animals, especially horses, frogs and elephants. She loved to spend time at family gatherings, attending brunches and country and rock and roll shows at the Gardiner Elks Lodge and going to the casino with friends. Patricia loved life and most of all, her daughter and grandson. She was a staple of the family and loved by many. 

She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Michael Ruth I and sister Lucille Ruth.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Angel Wentzell, of Gardiner; stepchildren Michael Ruth II, Michelle Ayotte and James Ruth; along with grandson, Justin Wentzell, granddaughters Stacia Staples and Courtney Ruth, eight siblings and multiple nieces and nephews.

Patricia’s visiting hours with words of remembrance will be held on Sunday, November 13th, from 10:00am – 12:00 noontime at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Avenue, Gardiner, followed by a celebration of life at the Gardiner Elks Lodge, 148 Cobbossee Avenue, Gardiner. Burial will be in Houlton at a later date.
