Roger D. Warren

SMITHFIELD – Roger D. Warren, 78, of Smithfield passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 7, 2022, with his family by his side.

He was born in Smithfield on April 9, 1944, the son of the late Oral and Viola (Foss) Warren.

Roger attended Smithfield schools. He left school after the eighth grade and began working with his brother, Emery, in the logging business.

On July 3, 1971, he married the love of his life Kathy Elaine Witham. The couple raised three wonderful boys and enjoyed many wonderful years together until her passing on December 20, 2007.

Roger was a woodsman for much of his working career, working with and for his brother Paul Warren. He retired in 2007 to take care of his loving wife. Later he continued to work with the family on small jobs. He was all about helping anyone who needed assistance with anything. He was a very hard-working man.

Roger was all about family. He enjoyed every moment spending time with them. The family remembers the great camping trips in the early years. He especially enjoyed watching his granddaughter and twin grandsons that he lived with run around and play. He will be deeply missed.

Besides his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by brothers, Emery and Ronnie; and his sister-in-law, Phyllis Warren.

Roger will be sadly missed by his children, Darren Warren and his wife, Jodi of Belgrade, Duaine Warren and his wife, Amy of Benton, and Darrell Warren and his wife, Mia of Smithfield; his brother, Paul Warren and his wife, Joan; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 11 at Bickford Cemetery in Smithfield.
