Raymond A. Beaudoin

AUGUSTA – Raymond A. Beaudoin, 94, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022, at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center at Gray Birch following a long illness. He was born in Augusta, on Oct. 26, 1928, a son of the late Ovila and Adele (Fontaine) Beaudoin.

Mr. Beaudoin attended Augusta schools and was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church.

He had been employed at Bernard’s Grocery Store, R.P. Hazzard Shoe, Bates Mfg., and the Calumet Club.

Mr. Beaudoin was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons, Central Maine Harmony Boys Barbershop Chorus, Abnaki Council #334 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus and Abnaki Assembly #346 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and a former member of the Calumet Club.

He was pre-deceased by his wife, Rita R. (Sirois) Beaudoin and a daughter, Theresa Nevells.

Mr. Beaudoin is survived by a daughter: Priscilla Bolduc of Augusta; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends may visit on Monday, November 21, from 3-6 p.m., at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 22 at 11 a.m., at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Western Ave., Augusta. Burial and committal prayers will follow in Holy Family Cemetery, Townsend Rd., Augusta.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Beacon Hospice and the staff at Gray Birch for the care and compassion they showed to Ray and the family for the last few years.
