NEWPORT – Monique E. Braley, 60, passed away at home with her two loving sons by her side on Nov. 17, 2022, after a courageous six-year battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born Nov. 4, 1962 in Augusta, a daughter of George and Marie (Thibodeau) Rivard and was the youngest of six children.

She had a great love for the beach, warmth of the sun, sand between her toes, and could often be found searching for sea glass for her crafting projects. She had a passion for dancing, especially line-dancing and she loved spending time with family and friends.
Monique is survived by her two sons, Patrick Braley and Christopher and wife Taylor Braley; five siblings, Leah Bowden (Bill), George Rivard (Shirley), Theresa Parquette (Bob), Peter Rivard, and Julie Hagen (Jack); her husband of more than 30 years, Scott Braley; her very special in-laws Gary and Patty Braley, whom she loved dearly; her kitty “Tux”; several aunties, uncles; nieces, nephews; and so many dear friends.
