Edgar R. Paradis

PITTSFIELD – Edgar R. Paradis, 92, died peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2022, in Burnham.

Edgar was born on Jan. 28, 1930, a son of the late Alfred and Mary (Soucy) Paradis. He graduated from Fort Kent High School and proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for over 40 years as a plant manager. He belonged to the VFW, American Legion, and the Korean War Veterans Association. He was proud to take part in the annual Memorial Day Parade.

Edgar was an avid reader, a country music fan, and enjoyed traveling. He took daily walks, enjoyed going for coffee, and being with his friends. He and Nancy shared the same birthday, just eight years apart. They both loved their pets and treated them as their own babies.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Nancy Paradis of Pittsfield; son, Ray Paradis and wife Cynthia of Burnham; siblings: Joseph “Bob” Paradis, Roger Paradis and wife Ann, and Irene Sirois, all of Fort Kent.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Raeann Paradis; siblings: Herman Paradis, Wilfred Paradis, Odile Ouellette, and Jean Ozga.

A memorial service will be held in the spring of 2023 at the Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home in Pittsfield. A committal will follow with military honors at the Village Cemetery, Pittsfield.
