Radio is back on stage as the Freeport Players present “Radio—WFCP Home Time Radio Hour, XVI,” on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, December 2, 3, and 4, at Freeport Performing Arts Center.

Radio is a variety show set in the golden age of radio – the 1940s to the 1970s – including comedy sketches, a live band and songs of the era, and hilarious sound effects. The “live studio audience” enjoys the show in person. Fans of Radio will be excited to see the return of Joe Tanner, PI, and the intrepid crew of Rocket Space Quest, along with other comedy sketches, comic product ads, and fabulous live music. And no Radio would be complete without the funny Sound Effects ladies.

Performances are scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Dec. 2 and 3, at 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 4, at 2 p.m. Tickets can be purchase in advance online at fcponline.org – $20 for adults, $10 for students 21 or under; or at the door – $22 for adults, $12 for students 21 or under. For inquiries about group rates, contact producer David Wallace at David.wallace94@yahoo.com.

Concessions will be sold at intermission.

Our 500-seat theater allows for social distancing. Masks are optional.
