Timothy Elden Riley

SKOWHEGAN – Timothy Elden Riley, 41, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 16, 2022. Tim was born on Nov. 14, 1981, in Skowhegan, a son of Jennie Hart and Robert Riley.

He graduated from Maine Central Institute in 2000. While in high school he was employed at the Corner Citgo then he went to work for NES/NIS/NSS for over 18 years. It was a job that he really enjoyed.

Tim was smart and when he put his mind to it he could build anything. He built a shed and had been remodeling a 1930’s house, making a home for his then wife Ashley and their family. He had many hobbies and interests including boating, swimming, bowling, traveling, golfing, playing sports and debating issues. He was a past volunteer firefighter for the Town of Pittsfield. He was loved by all and will be missed by everyone.

He is survived by many heartbroken people: his children, Makenna and Austin and their mother, Ashley Riley; his mother Jennie Hart, his father Robert Riley and Pam Battista, stepfather, Ashley Hart and Mary Jane; brothers Matthew Riley and Harley Noble and Cody Hart and Megan, sisters Bobbi-Jo Riley, Michelle Breen, Joann Merrill, Crystal Anderson, and Darcy Anderson; special niece Alexis. special nephew Ethan; special cousin Brittany Noble; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, in-laws, and many friends; and his dog, Harley. along with his cats, Gizmo and Garfield.

He was predeceased by his grandparents. Clement and Florence Riley and Dexter and Emily Noble; and cousins. Kelly, Todd, Shawn and Brandon.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, at the Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home, 191 Hartland Ave., Pittsfield. A celebration of his life will follow at the Detroit Fire Station, 8 Troy, Road, Detroit, Maine, and all are welcome to share some food and stories of Tim. A graveside service will be announced in the spring of 2023.
