AUGUSTA — Runners hit the road near Cony High School on Thursday for the annual Gasping Gobbler 5K.

Hudson Delisle finished with the top male and top overall time of 15:52.55. Lindsay Spigel had the top female time of 19:59.96. Over 100 runners participated in the event.

The first male and female finishers won a turkey-topped trophy and also a frozen turkey, dinner rolls and a pie. In the age group awards, first place was a frozen turkey, followed by the pie and rolls.

Event organizer Shawn Totman said that if winners didn’t want to take the food their prizes would be donated to a local food bank.
