CANAAN – Guy Alexander Samuels, born March 19, 1961, at the Pensacola Naval Air Station Hospital in Florida, passed away from cancer on Nov. 19, 2022.

Guy grew up in Waseca, Minnesota and as a teenager he relocated with his parents to Middletown, New Jersey.

After graduating from Middletown South High School, Guy was employed by a steel mill in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He then married Heather Carter (Middletown, New Jersey) in 1982 and they had two children, Alexander and Samantha.

After divorcing Heather, Guy relocated to Skowhegan, Maine and married Christine Dodge (Canaan, Maine). He initially was involved in the logging business and then formed his own company with his son Alexander, which became Samuels & Son Builders (included house and garage building).

Guy is survived by his parents, Harry and Mercedes Samuels (Florida); two brothers, Jeffrey (Florida), John (New Jersey); five children, Alexander, Samantha, Desiree, Tiffaney, and Daniel (all of Maine); and nine grandchildren.

A celebration of life service is scheduled for Dec. 4, 2022, from 12 to 4 p.m., at the Eagles Club, 164 Water Street, Skowhegan, Maine. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Dan & Scott’s Cremation & Funeral Service, 488 Farmington Falls Rd., Farmington, Maine 04938.
