AUGUSTA – The Kennebec Historical Society is set to host a Victorian Tea Party to celebrate the holiday season 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at its headquarters at the Weld Fuller, Jr. House at 107 Winthrop St.
The Victorian Tea is a return to the “olden days” as many know the society held this event for a number of years in the past and is open to the public. There will be a variety of goodies to sample including cookies, snacks, coffee and of course tea, festive decorations and holiday musical selections.
Anyone interested in decorating, serving or would like to bring in some tasty treats are asked to contact Anne Cough, either by email at [email protected] or by phone at 207-582-2823.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
