James “Jim” Eric Camic

GLENBURN – James “Jim” Eric Camic, 56, passed away on the morning of Nov. 26, 2022, at his daughter’s home in Glenburn, Maine. Jim was diagnosed with cancer in April of 2022. Jim’s final wish was to meet his granddaughter Eleanor Janie. Eleanor was born on November 18, 2022 and Jim and his wife flew to Maine and in his final four days, Jim met and held his beautiful granddaughter.

James graduated from Winslow High School in 1985 and immediately following high school he enlisted in the Air Force. While he was in the service, he garnered the nickname “The Bull.” After James was Honorably Discharged from the Air Force, he started working in the transportation business for over 30 years.

In 2001, “The Bull” met his match when he met Tracey (Lambert) Camic. Tracey and Jim spent the next five years dating until 2006, when they went and got their neighbors for witnesses to be married in their own home.

Jim’s heart of gold and stubbornness will be greatly missed by his wife, Tracey Camic; his daughter, Jordyn Camic and partner Stephen Overlock, stepson, Michael Moores, stepdaughter. Jasmyn Murray; a sister, Judy and her husband Joe Marcoux, his brother, David and his wife Linda Camic; his grandchildren, Eleanor, Elroy, Copelyn and Henley; his beloved dog, Jayda; and several nieces and nephews.

Honoring his wishes, as many who knew Jim, will understand there will be no formal service. Remember him for “who he was.”
