SKOWHEGAN — A grand jury in Somerset County has indicted a Palmyra woman on charges relating to a fire in July that destroyed a house, two motor homes and substantially damaged a garage.

Alison R. Trask, 44, was indicted on counts of arson, aggravated criminal mischief, domestic violence reckless conduct and domestic violence terrorizing.

Trask is accused of causing the fire at a Warren Hill Road property in Palmyra. The home that was destroyed was not occupied, but Trask and her boyfriend were living in an apartment above the garage, according to a news release issued at the time by Shannon Moss with the state Department of Public Safety.

Trask and her boyfriend were home at the time with two other people, but the four were able to exit safely and were not injured. Authorities have not indicated a motive for the fire.

An indictment is not a determination of guilt, but indicates enough evidence exists for a case to move forward to trial.
