Anne Arbore

AUGUSTA – It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our sister, Anne Arbore, on Nov. 28, 2022. Anne was born on March 2, 1955 to Leo Berger and Joyce (Kennedy) Berger, in Belfast, Maine, the 4th of 9 children. In 1963 the family moved to Belgrade Lakes. She graduated from Messalonskee high school in 1973.

At an early age Anne dedicated her life as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and lived faithfully right up to her death. In October 1973 Anne married the love of her life, John Arbore, and they were happily married until his death in 2007. John and Anne lived in Illinois and New York visiting congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses for encouragement and support. In 1985 they returned to Maine to care for John’s mother, Mary, until her death. John and Anne both continued to serve as full time ministers of Jehovah’s Witnesses until their respective deaths.

Anne was predeceased by her husband, John; her parents, Leo and Joyce; and a niece, Rachel (Duplessis) Mayer. She is survived by her eight siblings; and many, many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Jan. 14, 2023 at 1 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 8 Cross Hill Road, Augusta, Maine. The service will also be available via Zoom, with the link provided at a later date.
