John Maglaras II
PITTSFIELD – John Maglaras II, 76, died on Dec. 14, 2022, in Newport.
He was born on April 28, 1946, in Dover, N.H., a son of John D. and Marjorie (Brock) Maglaras. He graduated from Dover High School with the class of 1964. After graduation he worked at Buzzy’s Truck Stop in Portsmouth, N.H., where soon after he became a truck driver.
John had a love for the open road and was awarded driver of the year for driving over three-million miles, accident free. He married the love of his life, Ann Beaulieu in June of 1981 and they shared 42 years together. He was an avid golfer and fly fisherman.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ann Maglaras of Pittsfield; daughter, Megan Stevenson and husband Robert of Vassalboro; granddaughter, Ashlynne Stevenson; sisters: Marjorie Maglaras-Dupras and husband Richard of Bethlehem N.H., Louise Boucher of Rochester, N.H., and Janet Mason and husband Peter of Dover, N.H.; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
