NORRIDGEWOCK – Patrick Trepanier passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023 in his home with his family by his side.

He was born to Victor and Maria Trepanier from Lac-megantic, Québec, Canada, on Aug. 8, 1940. The family moved from Canada to the U.S. in 1954. Patrick lived in many states, and one of them was Connecticut, where he worked at Fenns as a machinist.

Patrick moved to Maine and became a wood cutter for many years. Then he became a union representative for the international paper workers until he retired. He was big into politics and had always hoped he could change the world to be a better place.

His passions were gardening, birds, socializing and going out to eat at restaurants. His favorite places to eat was Ken’s and the Heritage House in Skowhegan. He loved flowers, his favorites were black-eyed susans and sunflowers. He also loved birds, his favorite bird was the cardinal. But Patrick’s most cherished were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, the hugs from them made his eyes light up.

Patrick was predeceased by his parents Victor and Maria Trepanier; his daughter, Tina Travis; his grandson, Asa Fisher; his brothers Real and Paul Trepanier and sister, Carmen Trepanier.

Patrick is survived by his children and their spouses Debra and James Delano, Lisa and Alden Fisher, Doreen Madore and Donald, Kevin and Valerie Trepanier, Christopher Trepanier and Keasha, Roger and Laura Simard, Cheri and Michael Colbourne, son-in-law, Joe Travis; his sister, Anita Trepanier, and brother and sister-in-law, Clement and Joella Trepanier.

Patrick has a total of 24 grandchildren; and 44 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to say they are very grateful and would like to send recognition for all they did for the family to Samantha Madore, Jessica Mitchell and new family friend Jen.

Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Jan. 14 at 9 a.m. at the Notre Dame Church at 116 Silver St. in Waterville.
