Lucienne P. (Gilbert) Pelletier

AUGUSTA – Lucienne P. (Gilbert) Pelletier, 101, passed away on Jan. 6, 2023, at St. Mary’s D’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston.

She was born July 21, 1921, to parents Augustin and Annie Gilbert. She attended St. Augustine School and in her younger years worked at Edward Mill a division of Bates Manufacturing Company.

Lucienne was a lifelong member of the Ladies of Sainte Anne (St. Michael Parish). Some of her hobbies were cooking, gardening, doing crossword puzzles, and watching her beloved Red Sox.

Lucienne was predeceased by her husband, Benedict, and her five brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by her son, Edmond Pelletier and his wife Paula of Greene, her daughter, Jacqueline Lessard and her husband Raymond of Cumberland, and son, Daniel Pelletier and his wife Diane of Augusta. Her grandchildren include Todd, Christopher, and Mark Pelletier, and Rae Ann Fein, Karen Bruder, and Denise Lessard. She also had 14 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.

The family wishes to express their gratitude for the care and compassion received from the staff at St. Mary’s D’Youville Pavilion and Beacon Hospice nurses who attended to her in her final days.

A memorial service will be held in the spring.
