SIDNEY & EXETER – Rhonda Farrar, 67, died Jan. 16, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born Aug. 11, 1955, in Dover-Foxcroft, a daughter of Lyall and Glennis (Bean) Downing, Jr. She served for over 15 years in secretarial service to the Messalonskee School District. She enjoyed flower gardening (just not the weeding), scrapbooking, crocheting and reading her Bible. Rhonda will be remembered as a Godly woman who loved Jesus. She was strong in her faith as a member of the Kennebec Valley Baptist Church and also taught Sunday School for many years.
Rhonda is survived by her husband Tim; daughters Erin Morrissette and husband Arthur, Katie Owens and husband Matt; a son Chris and wife Casey; granddaughters Olivia, Scarlett and Addilyn Owens, and Kyler Morrissette; her mother Glennis Downing and mother in law Marita Farrar; sister Carol and husband Frank Myska; brothers Gary and wife Donna Downing, Brian and wife Beth Downing, Brent and wife Barb Downing; sister in law Pam Farrar; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father Lyall.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, January 21, at the Kennebec Valley Baptist Church, 91 Marston Road, Waterville, with Pastor Kevin Grant officiating. Those who wish may leave written condolences at http://www.CrosbyNeal.com.
