SKOWHEGAN — On the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 1, local entrepreneurs will pitch their businesses to a panel of judges, competing to win a $5,000 cash prize from Maine Technology Institute to start or grow their business.
The event, a culmination of Main Street Skowhegan’s eight-week business lab program, will begin at 5 p.m. at Joe’s Flat Iron Cafe at 65 Water St., according to a news release from Kristina Cannon, president & CEO, Main Street Skowhegan.
Prior to the start of the event, Main Street Skowhegan will make a grant announcement, the second major grant announcement in the last month.
