Travis J. Fortin

MADISON – Travis J. Fortin, 45, passed from his earthly journey, on the morning of Jan. 10, 2023, after a long illness.

Travis was born in Skowhegan on Oct. 25, 1977, the son of Joseph R. Fortin and Linda (Douglas) Hurd. He attended schools in Madison and North Anson.

Travis was interested in history. He showed an interest in the Civil War, and World War II. He attended many movies with his dad on those subjects.

Travis like to hunt and fish, he could be found with his father walking the woods in the fall. There were many boating trips on the river in the summer, he also liked to target shoot at different locations. Travis was social and liked to visit with friends.

Travis was predeceased by his mother, Linda Hurd; his maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents.

Travis is survived by his father, Joseph Fortin, his wife Cliftine; his brother, Joseph Fortin II, his wife Elizabeth; nephew, Patrick Fortin; his stepfather, Don Hurd; his son, Talon Fortin; stepbrother, Adam Price, stepsister, Stacy O’Brian, stepbrother, Rob Shibley; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his significant other, Brandy Corbett. He also had a loved cat, Thelma.

Travis will be sadly missed, until we meet again.

Due to a family decision, there will be no funeral.
