Carol A. Charest

MANCHESTER – Carol A. Charest, 74, died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2023, at her home, following a short illness.

She was born in Indiana on Nov. 25, 1948, a daughter of the late Arthur P. and Margaret A. (Janosco) Hall. Carol was a 1967 graduate of Erskine Academy and was a communicant of St. Augustine Catholic Church. She had been employed for over 37 years at Central Maine Power Company. Carol loved Sunday dinners with her family, quilting and crafting with her friends.

She was predeceased by her brother, Bruce Hall.

Carol is survived by her husband of 52 years, Raymond J. Charest of Manchester; her son, Mark Charest and his wife Stacey of Augusta, her daughter, Erica O’Connor and her husband George of Readfield; seven grandchildren, Mya Tabbernee, Emma, Zoe and Haylee Charest, and Devon, Bridget and Brady O’Connor; as well as several members of the extended Charest and Hall families.

There will be no public visiting hours. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Jan. 30 at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Northern Avenue, Augusta. Burial and committal prayers will follow in the new Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mt. Vernon Rd., Augusta.
