PITTSFIELD – Clermont H. Spencer, 88, went home to be with the Lord Jan. 23, 2023.

He was born Aug. 8, 1934 in Passadumkeag, a son of William and Mary (Harris) Spencer. He was a faithful member of the Lord’s Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Kate Spencer; sons Jim, Roland and Richie, daughters Sylvia, Rebecca and Kara; one sister, Priscilla Grant; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was predeceased by his daughters Helena and Genieve, son, Steven; and grandson, Dana.

Clermont worked many years at both the Clinton Woolen Mill and Pittsfield Woolen Yarns. In his later years, he worked as a boiler man at Hancock Lumber.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28 at the Pittsfield Church of Christ, 245 Phillips Corner Rd. in Pittsfield. Spring burial will take place at the Pittsfield Village Cemetery.
