A Mornings with Make-A-Wish Informational Breakfast is set for 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at the University of Maine Augusta in the Fireside Lounge in Randall Student Center, 46 University Drive.
The breakfast will be followed by a Make-A-Wish Maine event at 8 a.m. Kate Vickery, Make-A-Wish Maine CEO, and Nichole Rutherford, director of development, plan to discuss the various ways individuals, and businesses and employees can get more involved with their mission, according to a news release from Make-A-Wish Maine.
People can learn about how the wish experience brings hope to the entire wish family, and hear how it is creating life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses in the community.
For more information and to RSVP by Monday, Feb. 6, email Rutherford at [email protected].
The event is sponsored in part by Kennebec Technologies.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
You can read more here about our commenting policy and terms of use. More information is also found on our FAQs.
