GARDINER – It is with immense sadness that the family of Robert Thomas Brady (known by all as Tom Brady) announces his passing, after a brief illness, on Feb. 10, 2023, with his family by his side.

Tom was born on May 27, 1972, to Thomas and Roberta Brady. He grew up in Gardiner and was a graduate of Gardiner Area High School, class of 1991. Growing up in Gardiner, Tom loved the outdoors in every way. He loved playing football, hockey, basketball, and baseball. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling, riding bikes, and dirt bikes. Tom also loved BB gun adventures, bonfires, and playing pond hockey at Pollywog Pond with friends, always making sure that they and all the other neighborhood kids knew he was the boss.

Everyone who knew Tom knew that he had the biggest heart and was always there for anyone in need, always offering a listening ear. Tom was a gifted cook and enjoyed entertaining friends and family. You never left his house without a hug or an “I love you”.

After high school, Tom ventured off to Wyoming where he built a great life for himself for 18 years. His time in Wyoming gained him many new friends and was very memorable. He ran a successful arborist business in Teton Valley, which he was very proud of. He also enjoyed just about all of the outdoor adventures Wyoming had to offer, especially bird hunting with his dogs Brandy, Kia, Morgan, and Maggie.

Tom later returned to Gardiner to help his mother until his passing. His love and devotion were greatly appreciated by all.

Tom was predeceased by his father, Thomas; and his brother, Mark.

Tom is survived by his mother, Roberta Brady; brothers Peter, Henry, George, sister Jennifer, their families, his special sister Tina; a very special niece and nephew Alyssa and Isaac Albert; and beloved dog, Maggie.

Tom’s visiting hours will be held on Saturday, Feb. 18, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Avenue, Gardiner, followed by a celebration of Tom’s life at 2 p.m., at the Gardiner Eagles Club, 21 Eagle Drive, Gardiner. A private committal service for family and close friends will be held in the spring.
