WATERVILLE – Judith L. (Lawrence) Smith, 79, passed away February 12, 2023 at her home in Waterville surrounded by her children. She was born May 27, 1943 in Washington DC, the daughter of James R. and Edith P. (Shenk) Lawrence.
She graduated from Falls Church High School in Virginia and attended Blue Mountain College in Mississippi. On July 9, 1965 she married Kenneth A. Smith in North Vassalboro. She was a member of the Vassalboro United Methodist Church, Winslow VFW, MacRillis Rouseau Post 8835, Womenās Auxiliary, and a former board member of New Dimensions Federal Credit Union (formerly Notre Dame).
Judy is survived by son, James Smith and husband Robert Baril of Milton MA; 2 daughters, Theresa Pulver and husband William of Vassalboro, Robin Hargrove and husband Jason of Sidney; grandchildren, Ryan Pulver of Chelsea, Jeffrey Pulver and wife Alyssa of Jefferson, Hannah Hargrove, Owen Hargrove and Katie Hargrove all of Sidney; great grandchild, Isabella Pulver of Jefferson.
The family would like to express its heartfelt thanks to the team at Maine General Homecare and Hospice for their amazing care and support to the family in Judyās final days.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Vassalboro United Methodist Church, 614 Main Street, Vassalboro.
