SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Three local students have earned an Award of Excellence at Western Governors University.

Whitney Poplawski of Augusta earned an Award of Excellence at the university’s Leavitt School of Health.

Brenda Ryder of Liberty earned an Award of Excellence at the university’s College of Business.

Jim Savage of West Gardiner earned an Award of Excellence at the university’s College of Health Professions.

The award is given to students who perform at a superior level in their coursework.
