AUGUSTA – Kennebec Savings Bank President and CEO Andrew Silsby recently announced the hire of Dan Swindler as chief banking operations officer. In his role, Swindler will oversee deposit operations, card services, branch operations, business account management, customer care and experience, vendor and project management, and physical security, according to a news release from the bank.

He joins the bank with comprehensive bank operations experience, having worked for another Maine bank for more than 26 years, where he steadily rose through the ranks to his most recent position of senior vice president, director of support services.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in public accounting and a Master of Business Administration degree from Thomas College. He is involved in the Boy Scouts of America, where he has served as Troop Committee Leader, treasurer and Merit Badge Councilor. He is chairman of the Warren Scholarship Committee and has been a volunteer advisor to Regional School Unit 40 for the development of a long-range comprehensive plan.
