Keith Edgar Todd

ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. – Keith Edgar Todd, 77, of Zephyrhills, Fla. and Brooks, passed away on Saturday Feb. 18, 2023. He was born in Brooks on Nov. 26, 1945.

Keith graduated from Morse Memorial High School in Brooks in 1964. He was the valedictorian of his class. He graduated from the University of Maine in Orono with a B.S. in Business Administration. In the summer of 1972 he worked as a short order cook at Wasson’s A & W in Augusta and met the love of his life who worked there as a carhop. The rest is history!

He also worked for Hudson Pulp & Paper/Statler Tissue. His career was primarily in finance. He held several positions with the State of Maine and retired as the State Budget Officer for the State of Maine in 2004. Keith and Sharon then became snowbirds and moved from Belgrade to Zephyrhills, Fla. for the winters. Summers have been spent at their camp on Randall Pond in Brooks.

Keith’s passion in life was to play golf. He played nearly every day after retirement. He was a member of the Betmar Golf Club in Zephyrhills, Fla. and Countryview Golf Club in Brooks. He cherished the literally hundreds of golfers he got to know on the golf course, especially those who shared the same passion. He was extremely proud of the five hole-in-ones he had.

He also enjoyed playing bridge, fishing for white perch (he made a great fish chowdah!) and spending time with his family and friends.

Keith is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Sharon Lord Todd; his daughter and son-in-law, Kristin Marie and Brian Bell of Frisco, Texas and their children, Jenna and Kayla Bell; his son and daughter-in-law, Kevin Michael and Krista Todd of Bangor, and their children, Natalie, Lena and Brendan Todd. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews Julie Hood, Jeffrey Todd, Jennifer Stephens, Joella Bailey and James Todd.

Keith was predeceased by his parents, Fred James and Vellora (Trueworthy) Todd; his brother, Linton Fred Todd; as well as his in-laws Roger “Buckie” and Janet Lord.

Keith was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend who never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed. He is now in Heaven hitting that little white ball around.

Our family wishes to thank the hundreds of friends who have reached out to us the last few weeks. Your love and support mean the world to us.
