‘A Doll’s House, Part 2’ to be staged in Belfast

Belfast Maskers’ audiences will see another side of their theater, literally and figuratively, with the first production of 2023. “A Doll’s House, Part 2” by Lucas Hnath, running March 9-19, will be staged in an innovative “in the round” configuration of the Basil Burwell Community Theater — meaning audiences will be seated on both sides of a playing space in the center of the theater. An all-but-bare stage is dominated by a single door. This is the same door that the protagonist, Nora, shockingly walked out of 15 years before at the close of Henrik Ibsen’s groundbreaking “A Doll’s House.”

“A Doll’s House, Part 2” opens on March 9 with a Preview Night performance featuring $10 tickets. The run continues Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m., that weekend and the following.

General Admission seating is $18, and $15 for student and senior tickets.
