The city of Augusta informs residents that on Thursday and Friday, March 16 and 17, MUNIS, the city’s processing software that allows point of sale transactions, will be unavailable for a planned upgrade.

City services that will be impacted:
• Vehicle transactions – No new registrations. Clerk staff can assist with active renewals via the online portal, but cannot take payment; and
• No dog licenses.

Unaffected city services include:
• Tax payments;
• Vital records – birth, death and marriage certificates; and
• Inland Fish and Wildlife – Hunting/fishing, ATVs, boats and snowmobiles.

It is expected that all services will have longer wait times during this duration. People should allow adequate time for transactions, according to a news release from, Haley Gauvin, director of communications and marketing for the city.

Residents with questions regarding services can call the city clerk’s office at 207-626-2310.
