Ellery G. Witham
EMBDEN – Ellery G. Witham “Babe” passed away at home March 8, 2023. He was born in Skowhegan. The son of Ellery D. Witham and Shirley Miller. He was a graduate of Solon High School. Following high school, he worked for his father in the construction business. His favorite piece of equipment to operate was his Caterpillar D6 Bulldozer. He later branched off on his own in the construction business. Babe was contracted with the town of Embden plowing and sanding for 16 years. He finished his career operating his grader for the town. Babe lived and served his whole life in Embden.
He is survived by his two sons, Michael E. Witham and Jothan R. Witham, and three grandchildren, Emily M. Witham, Dana M. Witham, and Jaelyn G. Witham. He will be missed by his family and many special friends.
Per Babes request, there will be no services; A celebration of life will take place at the garage this summer.
Arrangements are under the care of Dan and Scott’s Cremation and Funeral Service 445 Waterville Road, Skowhegan, ME 04976.
