Jason Allen Nile

MADISON – Jason Allen Nile, of Madison, lost his battle with cancer on March 20, 2023.

Jason was born on July 15, 1984, the son of Karen Nile and John Bernard.

He was an avid reader, he loved taking pictures, dancing and singing. Jason was always on the go, on any given day, no matter the weather you may have seen him walking to one of his many family members houses. He loved is video games and even learned to speak “SIMS”.

Jason is survived by his mother, Karen Nile, his father, John Bernard; his brother, Jeffrey Atwood, his life partner, Shelley Carter, his nephew, Gavin and niece Isabelle; his brother, Justin Atwood and his life partner Anna Gunther, his niece Emily and nephew Justin Jr.; by his many aunts, uncles; cousins; and friends.

He was predeceased by his stepfather, Cleo Atwood; his grandmothers Deirdre Cass, Noreen Morris and Jane Marie McCollough; and his cousins Marisha Bishop, Kayla Bessey and Devon Heath.

Jason’s family would like to thank Glenridge Comfort Care in Augusta, for taking care of Jason on his journey to be with our Lord. A very heartfelt thank you to Nicole for all you did for this family, taking the time to get to know us and Jason, you are an angel.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, March 25, from 12 to 2 p.m. at Giberson Funeral Home 40 Maple St., Madison. Following the viewing there will be a celebration of life at the VFW, Preble Avenue, in Madison. Burial will be on July 15 at 12 p.m. in New Portland.
