In the March 8 article, “Resolution supporting Ukraine sparks angry exchange in Maine House,” Rep. John Andrews, R-Paris stated: “The resolution would only bring the U.S. closer to direct war with Russia, which could lead to a third World War.”
If America went to war, we would have to expand oil production and refinery. If you’re an environmentalist, how does that make you feel? If America went to war, we would have to militarize our schools. If you’re “woke,” how does that make you feel? If America went to war, we would have shortages. If you’re on a tight budget, how does that make you feel?
If America went to war, we would have to put aside our differences and work together on neutral ground. If you’re a member of Antifa, how does that make you feel? If America went to war, we would have to have an honest government. If you’re a corrupt politician, how does that make you feel?
If America went to war, we would have to build walls around our borders. If you support illegal immigration, how does that make you feel? If America went to war, we would have to have homefront guards with rifles. If you support a gun ban, how does that make you feel? If America went to war, we would have to consider a military draft. If you don’t support the military, how does that make you feel?
In conclusion, if America went to war, tolerance of ideologies of the Left would diminish. If you’re on the political left, it’s time to return to your roots of the late 1960s to early 1970s in being anti-war.
