ST. ALBANS – Daureen L. McFarland, 91, was called home Friday, March 24, 2023, peacefully at her home in St. Albans. She was born in Vassalboro on Sept. 19, 1931, the only child of the late Merton and Catherine (Schmitz) Gullifer. She attended schools in Madison and MCI in Pittsfield.

Daureen lived a full life doing things she enjoyed like knitting, crocheting, farming, reading, and enjoying her family. She also enjoyed going to the blueberry fields to rake blueberries, camping in Winnebago, and leaf peeping. Daureen had many jobs but her biggest accomplishment was becoming a CNA and CMA in her late 50’s and ending her career as a Psych Tech at Acadia.

Daureen is survived by her children, son Rodney McFarland and wife Rochelle of St. Albans, daughter Sherri-Lynn Rogers and special friend Joe Lessard of Pittsfield, daughter-in-law Mona McFarland of Newport; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; husband Ralph; son Richard; and grandson Justin Rogers.
