Regina H. Schissler

PITTSFIELD – Regina H. Schissler, 69, of Pittsfield, passed peacefully on April 2, 2023

She was born in Dexter on April 3, 1953 to Gertrude and Enos Schissler. She was a graduate of Maine Central Institute. She worked for the shoe shop in Newport, was a stay at home mom/wife and then returned to work at various restaurants as a cook and at convenience stores.

She enjoyed gardening, picking berries and apples and sharing baked goods with her friends and family. She loved her dogs and her cats. Her love language was food and there was never a shortage of cookies or pasta.

She was a fiercely devoted mother to two children and grandmother to three, and adopted grandmother to many others.

She was predeceased by her parents; brothers Donald Schissler, Joseph Schissler, William Schissler and sisters Natalie Braley, Elsie Autunno, Barbara Willis and Mary Kaczynski

She is survived by her daughter, Bobbie Goulette and husband Rick Thibodeau of Clinton, grandson, Christopher Goulette of Clinton; son, Ronald Graves Jr. and wife Stephanie of Portland and their two children Francesca Salamone and Josephine Graves; a very special niece, Tambara Boudreau and family of Vassalboro; brothers George Schissler and wife Robin of Detroit, Enos Schissler and wife Judy of Etna and sister-in-law, Maxine Schissler of Detroit; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to the staff at Pittsfield Community Care where she resided and the Gentiva Hospice nurses.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at the Detroit Cemetery at which time friends and family are welcome to pay their respects.

Arrangements are under the care of Dan and Scott’s Cremation and Funeral Service, 445 Waterville Rd., Skowhegan, ME 04976.
