PITTSTON – Helen Anne (Kistulinec) Raymond, of Pittston, passed away on March 23, 2023.

Helen was born on March 3, 1948 to John A. Kistulinec and Helen Suzor Kistulinec in Plainville, Conn. Helen graduated from Plainville High School and went on to obtain her nursing degree from Tunxis Community College. After years of nursing in many capacities, she discovered her passion for Hospice work in Oxenhope, UK at the Sue Ryder Hospice.

She later moved to Maine, where she became the Coordinator of the Hospice division at Miles Home Health and Hospice in Damariscotta. Helen was the ultimate care-giver, giving comfort to all she cared for.

Helen loved to spend time exploring tide pools along the Maine coast, gardening and going to yard sales. She loved the hunt and finding the perfect “something” at local thrift stores.

Helen was predeceased by her parents John and Helen; her husband, Jeffery Raymond; and her sister, Margaret “Beanie” Weisenburger.

She is survived by her daughters Sarah Kistulinec (Bill Roy) of Hallowell, Jessica Mercier (Dave Mercier) of Barkhamsted, Conn. She is also survived by her pride and joys, her grandchildren, Kate Michaud and family of Connecticut, Ethan Carlson of Maine and David Mercier of Connecticut; as well as great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews, who she loved dearly.

Private services were held at Saint Alexander Nevsky Orthodox Church in Richmond.
