Flautist Chris Lansley will give a recital at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 14, at Trinity Church in Lewiston. Pianist Adrian Dmytruk and violist Greg Boardman will perform with Lansley. The flute and piano combination will play music by Beethoven, Handel and Weber, and flute and viola will contribute movements from a sonata by Hoffmeister.
Lansley is principal flute with the Augusta Symphony Orchestra, and appears frequently in chamber music performances in the area, as well as playing music for worship at Trinity Church. Dmytruk has performed extensively as an accompanist in his native Ukraine and in the USA. He currently provides accompaniment for music at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Turner. Boardman teaches strings in the Lewiston elementary schools. He is a frequent performer locally and joins in with Lansley and others Sunday mornings at Trinity Church.
Admission to the recital is free, with donations accepted toward the restorative work in progress at Trinity Commons. Trinity Church is located at 247 Bates St., Lewiston.
