FAIRFIELD — Hunter Lee had two hits and three RBIs as the Lawrence High baseball team opened its season with an 11-2 rout of Winslow on Tuesday in the season opener for both teams.

On the mound, Lee struck out seven innings in six innings for the Bulldogs (1-0).

Jared Newgard was 1-for-2 for Winslow (0-1).

 

MT. BLUE 12, CAMDEN HILLS 0: Brody Walsh opened the season by throwing a perfect game in the Cougars’ (1-0) five-inning victory over the Windjammers (0-1) in Rockport.

Walsh didn’t allow a hit or a baserunner and struck out five.

The game was scoreless after two innings. Mt. Blue put one run on the board in the third inning, two in the fourth and then broke out for nine runs in the fifth inning.

Jayden Meader drove in four runs and Isaac Wrigley and Nolan Leso each had a pair of hits for the Cougars. Hayden Dippner scored a team-high three runs.

 

MARANACOOK 3, TRAIP ACADEMY 2; MARANACOOK 5, TRAIP ACADEMY 0: Caldre Glowa and Travis Lemelin combined for a no-hitter and Glowa won his second game of the day as the Black Bears (2-0) completed a doubleheader sweep in Readfield.

Robbie Vivenzio homered for Maranacook, and teammates Kody Goucher and River Fallos had two hits apiece. The Black Bears scored four runs in the first inning.

In the first game, Glowa had two hits and earned the win in relief of starter Jake McLaughlin.

Zac Foye had two hits for Traip (1-2).

TRAIP ACADEMY 13, ERSKINE 9: The Rangers improved to 2-0 with the win at South China.

Austin Nicholas scored five goals for Erskine (0-2), while goalie Nate Grenier had nine saves. Keith Radonis was 15 for 19 on faceoffs.
