FARMINGTON — Ike Wrigley homered as part of a balanced Mt. Blue attack in a 10-4 win over Erskine in baseball action Thursday.

Jayden Meader led Mt. Blue (2-2) with three hits, Wrigley had two and two RBIs, Nolan Leso totaled two hits and three RBIs, and Hayden Dippner, Brody Walsh and Zach Poisson all added base hits. Walsh also earned the win on the mound, allowing five hits and three earned runs while striking out nine across 5 2/3 innings.

Grady Hotham and Sam Boynton each had two hits for Erskine (2-1) with both delivering doubles. Hotham also drove in three runs, with Holden McKenney driving in the other.

Hotham took the loss after pitching the first three innings. Landen Hayden pitched the final three innings for the Eagles, striking out five.

 

HALL-DALE 8, CARRABEC 2: Eben Austin threw a four-hitter as the Bulldogs earned their first win of the season in North Anson.

Austin stuck out eight batters and walked no one for Hall-Dale (1-2). He added two hits at the plate. Cody Dupont, Jackson Leach, Logan Norton and Trevor Kalloch also had two hits. Leach and Keegan Cary each stole three bases.

Bobby Lindblom had two hits for Carrabec (0-1).

 

OAK HILL 3, MONMOUTH ACADEMY 0: Kyle Delano pitched a shutout and drove in a run to help his cause as the Raiders prevailed in Wales.

Ethan Vattaso and Grayson Letourneau also drove in runs for Oak Hill (1-0), which scored one run in the second and two more in the third. Letourneau’s double was the game’s lone extra-base hit.

Delano scattered three hits, didn’t issue a walk and struck out six.

Matt Marquis, Luke Harmon and Hunter Frost had the hits for Monmouth (1-1). Sammy Calder struck out seven batters in 3 2/3 innings of work, which included four hits and all three Raiders runs. Kyle Palleschi and Isaac Oliveira didn’t allow a hit the rest of the way.

 

SOFTBALL

 

MADISON 8, MT. ABRAM 5: The Bulldogs scored four runs in the top of the fifth and led by as many as seven runs before the Roadrunners’ rally in the bottom of the seventh fell short in Salem Township.

Raegan had three hits for Madison (4-1), while Mackenzie Robbins had a triple and a single and Kylee Furbush added two singles. Furbush also earned the win in the circle.

Katelyn Holt led Mt. Abram( 1-2) with three hits, while Abi Wilcox and Savannah Davis each had two. Wilcox tripled and Holt and Davis both doubled. Adrianna Stinchfield, who homered to tie the game 2-2 in the third, suffered the loss in the circle.
