After failing to recapture Maine’s top job in the November general election, former Gov. Paul LePage quietly moved back to Florida.
LePage registered to vote in Ormond Beach on March 16 at the same address where he lived for two years after leaving the Blaine House in 2018.
He moved back to Maine two years later, where he resided in Edgecomb during his gubernatorial campaign last year.
LePage, a Lewiston native, could not be reached for comment. He has said almost nothing in public since his defeat on Election Day six months ago.

He has spent considerable time in Florida for years. His wife, Ann, has owned homes in Ormond Beach since 2008.
After leaving office in 2018, LePage told a radio station that if Democrat Janet Mills succeeded him in Augusta, he would leave Maine.
“I’ll be a resident of Florida if Janet Mills wins,” said LePage, who was prohibited from running for a third term. “I’m going to retire and go to Florida. I’m done with politics. I’ve done my eight years. It’s time for somebody else.”
But he returned to the Pine Tree State to take an ultimately unsuccessful stab at knocking Mills out of office.
LePage, the Republican nominee, fell short of winning back the job in a three-way race in which Mills secured reelection by a 56-42 margin.
LePage, 74, registered in Flagler County as a resident living at 40 Gale Lane in Ormond Beach, a home his wife Ann purchased in 2018 and still owns.
