WINTHROP — Ella Rice had a three-run homer to lead the Winthrop softball team to a 13-4 win over Lisbon on Friday.

Winthrops Lauryn Wood went the distance in the circle and had two singles and two RBIs at the plate.

Julie Letourneau had three singles for Winthrop (4-3), while Camdyn Roy, Cate Gustin and Haley Williams each had a pair of singles.

Elle Burkhardt had a triple and a double for Lisbon (2-4), and Maria Levesque had a double.

 

MARANACOOK 13, ST. DOMINIC 0 (5): Allie LaBelle was 4 for 4 with a home run and seven RBIs as the Black Bears (8-2) won in five innings in Auburn.

LaBelle also scored three times. Teammate Nathalie Deane had three hits and two RBIs, and Paige Magee, Shylah Woodford and Alissa Michaud scored twice.

Maranacook pitcher Alexis Michaud surrendered zero runs on six hits over five innings, striking out five.

Kassidy Cote walked twice for St. Dominic (4-5).

 

TELSTAR 6, MADISON 2: Makenzie Eliot had two doubles and a triple for the Rebels in their win at Madison.

Payton Berry had a double and a single for Telstar (2-4) and drove home two runs. Eliot drove in a run as well. Maylyn Hastings allowed three hits and two runs for the Rebels while striking out seven.

Madison (6-4) scored its two runs in the bottom of the first.

 

MAINE CENTRAL INSTITUTE 24, WINSLOW 9 (5): Kayleigh Dunton and Skyla Dean each scored four runs and drove home two as the Huskies earned the five-inning win in Winslow.

Dunton finished with three hits and Dean two. Kassie Snowman had two hits and five RBIs for MCI (5-3), and Jyllian Riendeau and Jenessa Foster scored three runs each. Snowman earned the win in the circle.

Tayia Ware had a hit and two RBIs for Winslow (3-6).

MESSALONSKEE 8, LEAVITT 1: Madrid Wilson had a home run as the Eagles (6-2) won in Turner.

Elise MacDonald had two singles and a double in the win. Izzy Culver had two singles while Lexington Bayne and Payton Alexander each doubled.

Hailey Turcotte had a double for Leavitt (7-2).

 

HALL-DALE 29, WISCASSET/BOOTHBAY 0 (5): The Bulldogs smacked 20 base hits at the plate and got a no-hitter from Rita Benoit in the circle to breeze to victory in Farmingdale.

Zoe Soule had two doubles, a single and three RBIs for Hall-Dale (8-0), and Marie Benoit added two doubles and three RBIs. Mira Skehan and Gabby Elliot tripled for the Bulldogs.

Wiscasset/Boothbay (0-9) committed seven errors.

 

BASEBALL

 

BOOTHBAY/WISCASSET 4, HALL-DALE 0: Gryffin Kristan struck out eight batters in five innings as the Seahawks earned the shutout win in Farmingdale.

Kristan allowed five hits and walked one batter, and Finn Harkins pitched two innings of two-hit relief. Liam Thomas had two hits for Boothbay/Wiscasset (2-6).

Keegan Bellersoe threw a six-hitter for Hall-Dale (4-5), striking out eight and walking three. At the plate he was 3 for 3.

 

OAK HILL 11, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 1: Ethan Vattaso was a homer short of the cycle as the Raiders (8-1) won in Rumford.

Vattaso also drove home a run to go along with his three hits and four runs. Trent Drouin had two singles and a triple while driving home four runs. Landon Bangs had a single and three RBIs and Landen Denis drove a pair in on two hits.

Denis went seven innings for Oak Hill, allowing one run on three hits, struck out one and had one walk.

Tyler Warren had one of the three hits for Mountain Valley (1-6) and went 5 1/3 innings on the mound, allowing eight runs on seven hits with five strikeouts.

MESSALONSKEE 8, LEAVITT 2: A five-run sixth inning helped the Eagles (6-2)  over the Hornets (6-3) in Turner. Danny Martin had a bases clearing-double in the inning.

Jack Hammond had a single in the fourth to give Messalonskee a 3-2 lead.

Colten Taylor and Jake Mellen had doubles for Leavitt.
